The work of lobbying for women's rights went on ceaselessly during the NGO Forum; every opportunity was taken to have input into the Declaration and Platform for Action. Lobbying took place in the line waiting for a bus, over lunch, between speakers and by more static means such as posters and displays that filled one's gaze in every direction. Women took their agendas to formal meetings and, when circumstances permitted, took advantage of informal moments to raise issues of concern.
