Commentary
The Lesbian march wound it’s way throughout the whole Forum site, in different quarters groups of women heckled. Along the way I couldn’t resist the opportunity to be photographed with Frida Kahlo. She seemed less than enthusiastic.

The existence of a lesbian space provoked much gossip. There was rumor of government raids, and the removal of printed material. These episodes confirmed that our women’s town was not yet a place where all women were safe or welcome.
